Oh
4-17-1995
This morning I had the funkiest dreams. They were all sequels to forgotten dreams of at least a year ago.
The first one (not first dream, but first sequel. I had a few others first that were short and not worth mentioning) I was flying over some plains. I wasn't human, I was some pint-size little creature. I had a friend. Some strange red heads floated above us and called out. We cheered because they were friends and we met up. I know that in a previous dream or two, the same type of landscape and friends were around. They wanted us to play music. My friend tooted on his flute with the wind, but my harp didn't carry very well. The red guy then taught us how to change into various dinosaur-like shapes, and their uses. In the process of imagining this, I pictured an electrical shed by a railroad track at night, in some run-down city.
My point of view shifted to that of my real self, and thus a new dream. I was walking towards this shed with some friends from high school...most of them from the swim team, I think. I suddenly remembered how, some time ago, Dworkin, me, Sunfire, Nick D, and maybe a few other BBS friends went inside there and fell into an alternate world during a reality storm. It was a nasty place, with reality storms all the time, and we had to fight some guy to get back. This prompted them and we went inside. The door shut, and I remembered that last time, once it shut, it couldn't be opened again from the inside, but I pulled with all my might, opened it, and went back outside. They followed, asking "why" etc. I told them we weren't prepared enough, so we went back down some streets to some neighborhood. I looked up, and lo and behold...a reality storm...the rain was starting, and in the sky was a big sun-like disc, swirling with rainbow colors, giving no light. I somehow got all I wanted...mostly an extra pair of pants (so that I had two on). More kids came around as I struggled to tie my shoes. People were shouting and stuff. I gathered some of them and we went to the shed, went inside, sat down, and shut the door. Any time now, I thought, we would fall through the floor or through the wall....but it never happened. I had SO much wanted to get to that other world again, only to go to yet another from there. Disappointedly we left the shed and I walked alone.
The next day came around, and I saw yet another friend of mine from high school, on a motorcycle. He picked me up, and he said his brother commended us for trying last night. I was sort of confused, and just kinda said, "oh." I started noticing things on the road...they were different...more technological...
